The Rotary Club of Bideford Bridge welcome you and thank you for entering the event on Sunday 16th July 2017.

JOINING INSTRUCTIONS

Park in the Old Cattle Market Car Park, Chanters Road, Bideford. Charge £1 per day. Riverbank Long Stay £3:00 per day. They are very hot on tickets so please pay and display. Then go to:

Bideford Rugby Football Club, King George's Field, Victoria Park, Bideford, Devon, EX39 2QS

REGISTRATION 06:30 TO 08:00

Go to the Registration Desk in the Club House, sign in and collect your number, which must be displayed on the front of your bike using the cable ties provided.  Hand in your sponsorship form which will be stamped and handed back on completion of your ride.

START

160km riders will start in batches from 08.00 and 100km riders in batches from 08.30 – DO NOT BE LATE!  If you arrive after 09.00 there will be no signs to follow.

ROUTE

‘Both routes will run clockwise this year, and have been accurately measured at 104 miles (167km) and 66 miles (107km). It is the riders responsibility to follow the routes and ride safely The 160km route is signed by black arrows on a yellow backing board.  The 100km split points are signed by black arrows on a red background.  You will be shown samples at the start.   

There will be three feed stations on the 160km route – South Molton at 40km, Winkley at 80km and Okehampton at 120km. There will be two feed stations on the 100km route – South Molton at 35km and Winleigh at 60km

Please go to the registration desk and sign off and collect your stamped sponsorship form, medal/plaque and Accelerade goodies.

ABANDONING THE RIDE.

If you cannot complete the ride please tell a Marshal at a check point. Do not go home without telling someone or we will have the emergency services out looking for you and you will have to pay any costs. If you have to abandon and are not at a check point, call the event emergency number shown on your bike number.

EMERGENCY

 An event emergency phone number will be shown on your riding number.

 In the event of a serious accident or ill health call 999, then call the event emergency number and report what has happened.  If you have a minor accident or ill health call the event emergency number and we will send a van to pick you up.  STAY ON THE ROUTE at all times

SPONSORSHIP

There is no minimum sponsorship, but if you are able to even raise a small amount for charity it will be much appreciated. A sponsorship form downloadable from the website or available at the start.
